Drop your PDFs here
You can pick several at once. Up to 100 MB and 500 pages per PDF; 200 MB and 1,000 pages in total.
How to use it
- Drop two or more PDFs here, or tap "Choose file".
- Use the arrows to move each one up or down, and remove any you don't need.
- Tap "Merge PDFs" once they are in the order you want.
- Download the merged PDF, with every page of each file.
How it works
Your browser opens each PDF with pdf.js, Mozilla's open-source PDF reader, the one built into Firefox. Then pdf-lib, also open source, copies every page into a new file in the order of your list. This site serves both libraries, and your files are never uploaded, stored or logged.
Each page keeps its size and rotation, and links between pages of the same file still work. Bookmarks don't carry over. Form fields look the same but can no longer be filled in.
A PDF with a password is refused with a message. So is one that opens freely but has editing locked. The tool never removes passwords or restrictions, and a damaged file gets a message too.
Example
A rental application asks for everything in one PDF, and you have three files. The application is 2 pages; your pay stub and your ID scan are 1 page each. You drop them here and the list reads "3 PDFs, 4 pages in total."
The pay stub landed on top, so you move it down two spots and tap "Merge PDFs". You download merged.pdf with the 4 pages in that order.
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge PDF files into one?
Drop your PDFs here, put them in order with the arrows and tap "Merge PDFs". You download one file with every page, free and with no watermark.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. They're merged in your browser and never uploaded, stored or logged.
How many PDFs can I combine at once?
As many as you like, as long as they add up to 1,000 pages and 200 MB or less. Each PDF can have up to 500 pages and 100 MB.
Why can't I merge a password-protected PDF?
Because the tool never removes passwords or editing restrictions. The same goes for a PDF that opens without a password but has editing locked. Remove them in the app that made the PDF and try again.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
No. Bookmarks don't carry over, and form fields look the same but can no longer be filled in. Links between pages of the same file still work.
Can I combine PDFs on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser on iPhone or Android. Each merge has 120 seconds to finish, so for very large files a computer is the safer bet.
