Agreeing to these terms

Byterama (byterama.com) is run by Byterama (“we,” “us”). These Terms of Use apply to the English pages of byterama.com. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

Our tools

Byterama offers free web tools that run in your browser, starting with image converters. You do not need an account to use them.

We may change, add or remove tools, or stop running the site, at any time.

Results are estimates, not advice

Any calculator on Byterama gives estimates based on what you enter and on the rules explained on its page. Results can be wrong or incomplete, and laws and rates change.

Nothing on Byterama is legal, tax, financial, accounting, payroll or other professional advice. Byterama is not a law firm, an accounting firm or a government agency.

Before you rely on a result for something important, such as a paycheck, a contract or a tax filing, check it with a qualified professional or the relevant authority.

Your files and results

Your files and the values you enter are processed on your device and never reach our servers; we do not upload or store them. You keep all rights to your files and to your results.

You are responsible for having the right to use the files you convert. Keep copies of your originals: a converted file can lose quality or information, such as transparency or embedded metadata.

Acceptable use

When you use Byterama, do not:

• use it to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights
• try to disrupt or overload the site, or to gain unauthorized access to it or to the systems that host it
• use automated tools in a way that ignores our robots.txt file or puts an unreasonable load on the site
• generate fake visits or fake ad clicks
• pretend to be Byterama or suggest that we endorse you

Who owns what

The Byterama name, the site's design, text and graphics, and our own code belong to Byterama or are used with permission. They are protected by law.

You may use the tools and link to any page. Do not copy, republish or sell content from the site without written permission, except as the law or the Open-source software section below allows.

Other names and trademarks on the site, such as file formats or company names, belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not mean they endorse Byterama.

Open-source software

Byterama is built with open-source software, and some tools may include open-source components. Each component keeps its own license, and that license governs your use of that component.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights those licenses give you. In particular, you may modify those components, use the site's code that calls them with your modified version, and reverse engineer that code to debug your modifications.

When a tool uses a component whose license requires a notice, the tool page shows that notice with a link to the license.

Ads, affiliate links and other websites

Byterama may include ads served by Google AdSense and affiliate links to Amazon. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how affiliate links work.

Ads and links can take you to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products or practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. If you buy something through a link, the purchase is between you and the seller.

No warranties

Byterama is free and provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We work to keep the tools accurate and available, but we do not promise that the site will be error-free, secure or always available, or that a result will fit your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, that result from using or being unable to use Byterama, even if we were told such damages were possible. We are also not liable for third-party content, ads or products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies, such as liability for fraud or willful misconduct. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Changes apply from that date and do not affect anything that happened before it. If you keep using Byterama after a change, the updated Terms apply.

Governing law

If you use Byterama as a consumer, you keep any protections that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.

Other terms

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that does not mean we have waived it.
